Join us for 24 hours of giving to benefit our local reparian park and strengthen our community on April 3.
Arizona Gives Day helps raise awareness about Arizona nonprofits and the critical role they play in our communities and state. On April 3, the event will inspire people to give generously to nonprofits making our state stronger and creating a thriving community for all.
You can donate starting March 1 but the final day is APRIL 3. To get the AZ Day credit, use the option to schedule the donation on April 3.
Our Black Canyon Heritage Park campaign will fund permanent exhibits and development of teaching materials on the importance of water in our daily life. Programming will focus both on school-age children as well as adults.
The Black Canyon Heritage Park / Cañon Elementary School District 50, in cooperation with Arizona Humanities and the Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives and School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies at Arizona State University, will examine water as an environmental necessity and an important cultural element as it hosts Water/Ways, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian's Museum on Main Street (MoMS) program. The exhibit explores the endless motion of the water cycle, water's effect on landscape, settlement and migration, and its impact on culture and spirituality.
Other Ways to Help
- Spread the word to family and friends on your social media pages. And don’t just ask them to give, but share
the reasons why a certain nonprofi t is near and dear to your heart.
- Make It a Competition
A friendly one, of course. Challenge your friends to a little game — have everyone choose
a charity that’s participating in Arizona Gives Day and then compete to see who can bring
in the most bacon by choosing a participating nonprofit and creating a Fundraising Page.
Bonus: Losers have to donate to the winner’s charity of choice - hope Black Canyon Heritage Park wins!!
