Work Day at the Park
September 17, 2022

We invite you to join our other FANTASTIC Volunteers for a half day of taking care of the park.

NEEDED:  15 to 20 Volunteers

WHEN:     Saturday, September 17. Registration 8 AM; Work starts by 8:30 AM and ends by noon

WHERE:    Black Canyon Heritage Park

33955 S. Old Black Canyon Highway, Black Canyon City, AZ 85324



  • Youth age 17 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Tools will be provided except weed If you have a cordless weed trimmer that can be used, please bring it. You may also bring your own hand tools if you prefer.
  • Bring your own work Dress for outdoor work (sturdy shoes and, as needed, sunscreen, hat, etc.).
  • Desert Botanical Garden will provide butterfly friendly plants with butterfly experts to help plant them.
  • Bureau of Land Management will provide some tools and staff.
  • BCHP will provide water and snacks -- plus a bonus BCHP zippered wrist pouch gift.

Join friends!! Enjoy a healthy day outdoors with friends!  Help remove invasive vegetation and add native plants. Other work includes clearing vegetation from the Nature Walk, removing trash from the grounds, and doing other park improvement tasks. Help your park stay beautiful and healthy!
