National Public Lands Day
Work Day at the Park
September 17, 2022
Thanks to our FANTASTIC Volunteers for taking care of the park. We had 20 hard working volunteers enjoying a healthy day outdoors with friends - Alexandra, Ann, Ashley, Autumn, Bob, Brandy, Brian, Chuck, Claire, Georgette, Haily, Jane, Jasmine, Justin, Justin, Peter, Rupert, Rupert, and Sam.
Special thanks to:
- Natalie of Desert Botanical Gardens for donating more plants for our butterfly visitors.
- Sam and Justin from Bureau of Land Management Rangers for coming to help and with extra tools.
- Peter of smallMatters Institute for providing donuts for all.
- Brandy and Brian of the Rotary Club of Anthem for recruiting the Boulder Creek HS Interact Club members.
Our volunteers removed invasive vegetation and added native plants. They also cleared vegetation from the Nature Walk; cleared the picnic area of pine needles and cones; and completed other park improvement tasks. Thanks to the work done, our park stays beautiful and healthy!
